About Telehealth

What Is Telehealth Primary Care?

Telehealth primary care uses secure video technology to connect patients with their healthcare provider in real time — without requiring either party to be in the same physical location. For patients in California, telehealth with Connect2-wellness means access to board-certified family medicine from wherever they live or work.

Connect2-wellness is a 100% telehealth practice. This was a deliberate choice: telehealth removes the barriers — commute time, waiting rooms, scheduling conflicts — that often prevent people from getting the care they need. Consistent, convenient access is the foundation of preventive medicine and chronic disease management.

Research consistently shows that telehealth provides high-quality care equivalent to in-person visits for the vast majority of primary care needs. When in-person evaluation is required — for hands-on physical examination or procedures — Lora Betron Campos, FNP-BC provides referrals to appropriate in-person providers in your area.

The Process

How Telehealth Care Works at Connect2-wellness

1
Book Your Appointment Online

Use the patient portal to schedule your visit at a time that works for you. New patients complete a brief health history form. Lora reviews it before your appointment so your time is used efficiently.

2
Connect via Secure Video on Appointment Day

Click the link in your appointment confirmation to join your visit. No special software required for most devices. You'll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a working camera and microphone, and a private space.

3
Your Clinical Consultation with Lora

Lora conducts a thorough assessment, discusses your concerns, reviews your history and any relevant records, and develops your care plan. This includes prescriptions, lab orders, referrals, and lifestyle recommendations as clinically appropriate.

4
Receive Your Care Plan & Next Steps

After your visit, you receive a summary through the patient portal including your diagnosis, medications prescribed, lab orders, follow-up schedule, and any integrative wellness recommendations specific to your health goals.

FAQ

Telehealth Care FAQ

Is telehealth primary care as effective as in-person care?
For the vast majority of primary care needs, telehealth delivers equivalent quality care. Multiple large-scale studies confirm that telehealth is as effective as in-person care for preventive visits, chronic disease management, mental health, and medication management. Connect2-wellness was designed from the ground up as a telehealth practice to maximize access and convenience for patients in California.
What equipment do I need for a telehealth appointment at Connect2-wellness?
You need a device with a camera and microphone — most smartphones, tablets, and laptops qualify. A stable internet connection and a private, well-lit space are important. Detailed technical instructions are sent with every appointment confirmation. If you encounter technical difficulties, Connect2-wellness will work with you to find a solution before your appointment.
Is my telehealth appointment private and secure?
Yes. All telehealth visits at Connect2-wellness use HIPAA-compliant video platforms that encrypt your session. Your health information is protected under HIPAA and California privacy laws. You simply need to ensure you are in a private location where others cannot overhear your conversation — Lora Betron Campos, FNP-BC ensures the same on her end.
Can prescriptions be sent to my pharmacy from a telehealth visit?
Yes. Lora Betron Campos, FNP-BC has full prescriptive authority as a board-certified FNP in California and can electronically prescribe to any pharmacy anywhere in California. Prescriptions are sent directly to your preferred pharmacy following your telehealth appointment, often on the same day.
What happens if my condition requires an in-person evaluation?
If Lora determines that your condition requires hands-on physical examination, imaging, or a procedure that cannot be done via telehealth, she will provide a clear referral to an appropriate in-person provider or facility in California. She remains your primary care provider and coordinates your overall care even when a specialist or in-person visit is needed.
